Real projects, real neighborhoods. (These are placeholder photos and details until our next shoot wraps.)

Renovated cream 1940s Austin bungalow with black windows and a deep front porch

Whole-home renovation · Barton Hills

The Barton Hills Bungalow

A 1940s bungalow that needed room to breathe. We opened up the back of the house, rebuilt the porch, and kept every bit of the character worth keeping.

Remodeled kitchen with marble island, dusty blue cabinets and brass fixtures

Kitchen renovation · Tarrytown

The Tarrytown Kitchen

A cramped galley became the room everyone hangs out in — bigger island, better light, and storage that actually makes sense.

Screened back porch with limestone floor overlooking Hill Country oak trees

Addition + outdoor living · Oak Hill

The Oak Hill Retreat

A new wing and a screened porch built around the oaks, so the best room in the house is technically outside.

Bright refreshed dining room with arched doorway and woven pendant light

Whole-home remodel · Zilker

The Zilker Refresh

Arched openings, warm plaster, and a floor plan that finally fits how this family actually lives.

Why Hill Country Remodels

Remodeling Without the Runaround.

The construction industry has a reputation. We'd like to politely ruin it.

  • Good Communication

No disappearing acts. You'll know what's happening and what's coming next.

  • Thoughtful Design

Beautiful is great. Beautiful and functional is better.

  • Quality Craftsmanship

We sweat the small stuff because the small stuff matters.

  • Respect for Your Home

We treat your home like we'd want someone to treat ours.

  • Texas Hospitality

Friendly people. Straight answers. No contractor attitude.

  • Good design. Good craftsmanship. No funny business.

Our Process

So… How Does a Remodel Actually Work?

Five steps, no mystery. Here's what working together actually looks like.

  1. 01

    Say Howdy

Tell us about your home, your ideas, and what isn't working.

  2. 02

    Dream a Little

We talk through possibilities, priorities, design, and budget.

  3. 03

    Make a Plan

We turn the ideas into a clear roadmap.

  4. 04

    Build the Good Stuff

Our team brings the plan to life with craftsmanship and communication.

  5. 05

    Enjoy Your New Favorite Room

    Pretty self-explanatory.

Let's make your house the house everyone wants to hang out at.

About Us

We're Here to Build More Than Pretty Rooms.

Hill Country Remodels is an Austin-area remodeling company built around three stubborn beliefs: craftsmanship should be obvious, plans should be clear, and remodeling your home shouldn't feel like a hostage situation.

We handle kitchens, bathrooms, additions, outdoor living, and whole-home renovations across Austin and the surrounding Hill Country — small enough that you'll know everyone on your project, established enough to run a six-figure renovation without drama.

Most of our work comes from neighbors telling neighbors. We'd like to keep it that way, which is a pretty good reason to do things right.

"We're serious about remodeling. We're just not very serious about ourselves."
